Weathervane Playhouse Announces
Auditions BY APPOINTMENT for
MY WAY, A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra

    (Akron, Ohio, May 29, 2003, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE...)  Weathervane=20
Playhouse will hold AUDITIONS BY APPOINTMENT for the musical MY WAY, a Music=
al=20
Tribute to Frank Sinatra, compiled by David Grapes.  Auditions will be held=20=
at=20
Weathervane Playhouse (1301 Weathervane Lane, Akron, In the Valley off Merri=
man=20
Road) on Monday and Tuesday, June 23 and 24, 2003, between 6:00 and 8:30 p.m=
. =20
Dance call is at 8:30 p.m.  An appointment is neccesary.  Callbacks will be=20
held on Wednesday evening, June 25.
Cast requirements:  2 Women: 1 age 20 - 35, 1 age 30 - 50
            2 Men: 1 age 20 - 40, 1 age 40 - 60

Prepare:    An audition song from the "big band" era 1940s-1950s.  Bring=20
sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided.  Be prepare=
d to=20
move.  Bring character or tap shoes if available, but not necessary.

Director for the production of My Way=E2=80=A6 is Mart=C3=ADn C=C3=A9spedes=20=
who recently=20
directed and choreographed Smoky Joe's Caf=C3=A9 at the Beck Center.  He has=
 appeared in=20
national tours of Man of La Mancha, The King and I, South Pacific and West=20
Side Story.  Musical Director is Margaret Knepper who was musical director f=
or=20
many Weathervane Productions including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor=20
Dreamcoat.=20
All roles are available. Weathervane Playhouse is committed to=20
non-traditional casting.  Except in cases where race, gender, age or disabil=
ity is essential=20
to the play, all roles will be cast on the basis of talent.  Weathervane=20
Playhouse is a community theater.  All performers in all productions are=20
