Actors' Summit Announces OPEN Auditions

    Neil Thackaberry, Artistic Director of Actors' Summit, a resident 
professional theater, announced open auditions today for roles in the upcoming 
2003-2004 Season. 

    Auditions will be held on Saturday, July 12 beginninng at 10:00 AM.  
Location for the auditions will be the Actors' Summit theater in Hudson, Ohio (86 
Owen Brown Rd). All auditions are by appointment, and auditions are restricted 
to those aged 18 years and older. Auditions are by appointment. Please call 
330-342-0800, weekdays between 10:00AM and 4:00 PM.

    Auditioners should prepare 2 contrasting monologues and/or 16 bars of a 
song from any musical. An accompanist will be available. The total prepared 
audition should last no more than 3 minutes. Individuals who were seen at the 
Cleveland area unified auditions on June 6 & 7 need not attend these general 
auditions. Final auditions for each production will be held at a later date.

    Roles are open in all eight mainstage productions and three youth theater 
productions. 

    The Actors' Summit policy on Nontraditional Casting reads in part: 
"Actors' Summit is committed to Nontraditional Casting.  Except in cases where race, 
gender, age, or disability is essential to the play, all roles will be cast 
on the basis of talent."  All roles to be cast are open to individuals of any 
race.

    All roles are paid.  Members of Actors' Equity are encouraged to 
audition.  All actors are asked to bring a resume and head shot.
