CAIN PARK PRESENTS ZYDECO WILD MAN
TERRANCE SIMIEN

(Cleveland Heights, OH)    The Cain Park Evans Amphitheater will be roused
into a soulful New Orleans style jamboree on Saturday, July 12 with the
return of Terrance Simien to the annual nationally recognized Arts Festival=
.
Simien, known for being a zydeco wild man, will take the stage at 8 pm.
Admission is free.  This concert is co-presented by the Friends of Cain
Park.

Simien began performing at the age of 17 when he left his Southwest
Louisiana home to take his band on the road.  Over the past two decades he
has mastered his combination of sensual and spiritual music to create a
style that he calls =B3Beadhead.=B2  Having recorded over twelve albums himself=
,
his collection of original music has been called diverse and passionate, an=
d
has been praised by such sources as Rolling Stone Magazine.

In the context of a =B3typical=B2 Terrance Simien show one can expect to see th=
e
accordion playing, hippie-haired bare-foot vocalist jumping all over the
stage to the high-energy groove of his music and throwing out those sparkly
Bourbon Street treasures =8B Mardi Gras beads.

The Cain Park Arts Festival begins Friday, July 11 from 3-8 pm, and runs
Saturday, July 12 from 11-8 pm and Sunday July 13 from 12 noon-6 pm.  The
festival will showcase 160 artists from all over the country, as well as
gourmet food from local vendors, and live entertainment in both theaters.

Cain Park, a municipally owned and operated summer arts park and one of the
nation=B9s oldest landmark outdoor theaters, is produced by the City of
Cleveland Heights and is located on the south side of Superior Road between
Lee and South Taylor Roads.

The Arts Festival Parking Shuttle will run Saturday, July 12 from 11 am -11
pm, and Sunday, July 13 from 12-6 pm.  The cost is $1 per person each way
with babies in arms free.  The shuttle will depart from the  Cleveland
Heights City Hall located at 40 Severance Circle.  This service is
co-sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Cleveland Heights, Judson Retirement
Community and Friends of Cain Park.
