Hello Friends,
This summer we present our fourth annual festival and we are happy to host
some of the most exciting, generous, and creative ensembles that we know.

The Catskill Festival of New Theatre
August 1-31, 2003, Fridays and Saturdays

HIGHLAND LAKE, NY-- An international festival of eclectic new theatre and
cutting edge performance produced by NaCl Theatre.  The month long festival
takes place at NaCl Catskills, the company=B9s theatre and artists=B9 residence
in Highland Lake, New York, USA.

DATES:                   August 1  to August 31, 2003.  FRIDAY and SATURDAY
evenings.
LOCATION:          NaCl Catskills, 110 Highland Lake Rd., Highland Lake, NY
12743 USA
SCHEDULE:          All shows at 8 PM.

Friday, August 1                               OPENING NIGHT SPECTACULAR
"A NewVaudeville that celebrates art and life." Performances will include 1=
0
Brecht Poems, by NaCl and Strike Anywhere Performance Ensemble, and other
guest performers and vaudevillians.

Saturday, August 2                          THE WALTER THOMPSON ORCHESTRA
(USA)
Prepare to be astonished! Using his own sign language of over 700 signs and
his orchestra of virtuoso musicians, actors, and dancers, Walter Thompson
composes/conducts an improvisational performance invention called
Soundpainting.=20

Friday, August 8                                KIKINTEATRO (BOLIVIA)
>From Cochabamba, Bolivia comes Kikinteatro, led by Actor/Director Diego
Aramburo. Ese Cuento Del Amor/That Tale Called Love will be performed in
Spanish, and explores the limits of one person=B9s vain attempts to hold onto
a lost love.  Based on an ancient legend "Manchaypuytu."

Saturday, August 9                            CATSKILL PUPPET THEATER  (USA=
)
Since 1979, The Catskill Puppet Theater, have been touring internationally,
enchanting young and old with their delightful musical productions. Willow
Girl is a puppet show for the whole family to enjoy!

Friday & Saturday, August 15 & 16                                    GREAT
SMALL WORKS  (USA)
Great Small Works, the OBIE Award winning collective draws on folk,
avant-garde, and popular theatre. This evening=B9s program will include toy
theatre performances of Three Books in The Garden; Marcovaldo, based on
Italo Calvino's story; and The Short Entertaining History of Toy Theatre.

Friday & Saturday, August 22 & 23                              LAVA  (USA)
New York City=B9s OBIE Award winning sensational women acrobats, LAVA, will
perform its newest fun filled acrobatic treat, High Tide. The new show is
about love, velocity, and abstract art.  The six strong women of LAVA will
fly through the air into each others' arms and tell you how it feels.

Friday & Saturday, August 30 & 31               NUMBER ELEVEN THEATRE
(CANADA)
The latest work by a festival favorite, Toronto=B9s Number Eleven Theatre, Th=
e
Prague Visitor tells the tale of A, who=B9s called to a job at the Central
Registry of Prague. Passing through the Registry doors, he enters the
labyrinth of the city's history and is drawn into a swift song and dance of
action and belief.=20
