GARFIELD

Life's race well run
Life's work well done
Life's victory won,
    Now cometh rest.

These lines are inscribed on the tomb of President Garfield (1831-81), and 
come from the 'Funeral Ode on President Garfield' by Edward Hazen Parker, MD 
(1823-1896).  Garfield was assassinated and is buried in Lake View Cemetery.
