"The Streets Are The Stage" is the July component of Sparx and the City, a
summer series of street-level, cultural activities highlighting the talents
of Northeast Ohio's artists as a tool for igniting economic vibrancy and
creating an appreciation for the arts downtown. This event centers around of
theme of busker theater and musical performances in five outdoor sidewalk
locations from Tower City to National City Plaza to Star Plaza. In addition
to live performances on the sidewalks and stages of downtown Cleveland, area
restaurants will serve lunch and dinner on the sidewalks and near
performance stages. Local visual artists will also have their artwork for
sale at an ArtMart on Star Plaza from 11am-2pm. 

To make this event as successful as last month's event, "Cleveland's on
Fire," Arts Ambassadors are needed on a volunteer basis. Duties will include
manning information tables to inform passing Clevelanders of the wonderful
arts and cultural opportunities downtown has to offer and also acting as
performer liaisons, ensuring that artists are able to perform without any
problems. If you are interested in becoming an Arts Ambassador for this
