Weathervane Playhouse Announces
AUDITIONS BY APPOINTMENT for 
PROOF

    (Akron, Ohio, July 10, 2003, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE...)  Weathervane 
Playhouse will hold AUDITIONS BY APPOINTMENT for PROOF, by David Auburn, Monday and 
Tuesday, August 4 & 5 beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Callbacks will be held 
following auditions on Tuesday, August 5 at 9:00 p.m.  Auditions will be held at 
Weathervane Playhouse, 1301 Weathervane Lane, Akron, In the Valley off Merriman 
Road.

Cast requirements:  2 WOMEN, Ages 22 - 35
2 MEN: 1, ages 22 - 30 &  1, ages 50 -- 60
Please prepare a MEMORIZED, 1 to 2-minute contemporary monologue that is not 
from the script. The monologue should be no more than 2 minutes long and MUST 
BE MEMORIZED.   You will be asked to read from the script at callbacks only.

Director for the production is Jacqi Loewy.  For Weathervane, Loewy directed 
The Laramie Project, The Fantasticks and Little Shop of Horrors.  She also 
directed Lyric Opera Cleveland's recent production of Berlin to Broadway.

Weathervane Playhouse is committed to non-traditional casting.  Except in 
cases where race, gender, age or disability is essential to the play, all roles 
will be cast on the basis of talent.  Weathervane Playhouse is a community 
theater.  All performers in all productions are volunteers.  For further
