The Progressive Arts Alliance is proud to present

2nd Annual RHAPSODY Hip-Hop Summer Arts Camp

Presented in cooperation with the Center for Arts and Culture at Cuyahoga
Community College

Students age 12-19 will have the opportunity to learn more about hip-hop
culture from professional artist-educators during the two-week Hip-Hop
Summer Arts Camp that takes place July 14-July 25, Monday-Friday, 9:30
a.m.-4:00 p.m. on the Eastern Campus of Tri-C, Richmond and Harvard Roads.

Artists from the world-renowned Rennie Harris Puremovement dance group
will conduct a special master class with the students during the camp. 
Legendary Philadelphia DJ Cash Money, the inventor of the "transformer"
scratch, will also be on hand to work with the students.

Students will learn more about the aesthetics of hip-hop culture: DJing,
MCing (or "rapping"), Breaking (dancing), and Graffiti Art as well as the
history and evolution of the art form.

Space is limited, but still available.  The cost for the two-week program
is $175. Financial assistance is available for those with demonstrated
financial need.
