This play is part of a statewide traveling performance of oral histories
which celebrates the Ohio bicentennial. Explaining what it means to be
from Ohio, memories include rural living, city living, cooking,
shopping, religion, the Depression, World War II, entertainment,
discrimination, and other memories of our state's history. Converting
oral histories into drama makes history accessible and interesting to a

economic, and social backgrounds, and those who simply never thought
that they were interested in history become engaged in the performance.
