Dobama Theatre announces a special signed performance of the wacky comedy
Kimberly Akimbo on Friday, September 12th at 8:00 p.m.  American Sign
Language (ASL) interpreters Erin LaFountain and Merry Beth Pietila will be
signing along with the production so that deaf or hard-of-hearing patrons
can better enjoy the play.

In this wacky off-Broadway comedy, sixteen-year-old Kimberly is forced to
re-evaluate her life while juggling a hypochondriac mother, drunken father
and ex-convict aunt along with her own mortality and the possibility of
first love.  The New York Times called Kimberly Akimbo “the comedy of the
year.”  OHIO PREMIERE PRODUCTION!

Dobama Theatre is also equipped with a hearing-assistance system for its
hard-of-hearing patrons.  Simply notify the theatre of your special need at
the time of your reservation.  Patrons can make reservations via email at
dobama at core.com for the signed performance.

Funding for signed productions is provided in part by the Ohio Arts Council
in the form of a grant, a portion of which is earmarked for signed and
audio-described performances.
There will be an audio-described performance on Sunday, September 14th at
2:30 p.m.
