[NEohioPAL]Congratulations to Collective Theaters

List:  I just want to note that I think Cleveland theaters and actors 
deserve tremendous credit for the big step forward through their joint 
participation in last Friday's "Sparx in the City" event.  The day brought 
free, live theater to two downtown venues, dubbed the "Cleveland Theater 
Collective Stages" (the Halle Building, just a step off Playhouse Square, 
and the Colonial Arcade).  The lunch time crowd was steady, with a smaller, 
but appreciative audience in the evening.  The quality was strong, with one 
act presentations by David Hanson, Mike Sepesy and Mary Lou Franks 
(Garmone), Charenton Theater's "Spoon River Anthology," with Tim Keo, Great 
Lakes Theater stage combat classes and a Second City Improv class, TITLEWave 
Theatre (Greg Vovos, Jill Levin, Marni Task, Perren Hedderson and Jean Marie 
Vovos), Dobama Theater, StageWrites and Bodwin Theatre, while debuting new 
material from Margaret Lynch.  While it was a strong marketing opportunity, 
it was also much more.  Perhaps more important and impressive, is the level 
of cooperation and collegiality demonstrated in attracting and presenting 
the hours of joint entertainment. Perhaps the theater community can build on 
this with more and larger theater opportunities, but for the time being, 
Margaret, Fred and the Collective members deserve a lot of credit.
