There is a great opportunity coming up to get involved with the arts
community in Cleveland.  Arts ambassadors are needed on a volunteer basis
for the upcoming Sparx in the City event, Flix and Sparx.  This event will
take place on August 15 and ambassadors are needed for one of two shifts:
11am-2pm OR 4-6pm.  

Flix and Sparx, the third monthly event of Sparx in the City, is a film
extravaganza taking place in the core of Cleveland.  During the two shifts
mentioned above, eight filmmaking teams will create eight different short
films that capture the essence of urban life in Cleveland.  Each team's
project will be filmed in one day, in one location, reflecting edgy,
abstract ideas of our city in culturally, economically and socially unique
ways.  If citizens are in the film areas, they are likely to be included in
each of the films.  Finished films will be featured at future Sparx in the
City events as well as other alternative locations.

The main duties of arts ambassadors will be to inform curious passerby of
why the film crews are filming around the city, to encourage their
participation in the films (if appropriate) and let them know why Cleveland
is such a great place for the arts! Ambassadors must be outgoing,
personable and willing to have a good time. If you are interested in this
