Vanity Crash, Cleveland's newest riff-driven ruckus, planted its first glittery seeds with Cleveland Public Theater's smash production of the rock musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Now they're bringing their slamming, Bowie-esque guitar rock to the clubs.

Lead Vocalist Dan Folino played the dynamic, gender-bent lead role in Hedwig, Guitarist Dennis Yurich served as Hedwig's Musical Director and guitarist, and has played with Q-Up, Verdanzen and System 56. You may know stage-destroying drummer Steve Mehlman from Hedwig or from his punishing work with Pere Ubu, The Heathers, Terminal Lovers, Backmonkeys or Rocket from the Tombs. Bassist Brian Hager comes to us from Vinyl Baby, and guitarist Chris Viola formerly led The Viola Contingent.

The band promises that the Beachland debut will be "something for those who listen with their eyes as well as their ears."

This early show is a chance for all our old-timer friends who've said our previous bands played out too late at night. You can catch the show at 8:00, leave around 9:00, and be home in time to take your Metamucil and get ready for the 10 o'clock local news!
