ATTENTION AMERICA:

“LAST CALL CLEVELAND NEVER, NEVER SHAKES YOUR BABY” LIVE STAGE SHOW RETURNS TO CLEVELAND’S SECOND CITY

Last Call Cleveland is pleased to announce their “Last Call Cleveland Never, Never Shakes Your Baby” stage show coming to Cleveland’s Second City Stage on Wednesday, August 27th at 8:00 p.m. An encore performance on Wednesday, September 3rd, has been added to meet fan demand after a history of sell-out shows. The show is a multimedia concert that is based around comedy sketches performed live and peppered with music, video, and audience participation. This is the local late night comedy show’s fourth stage production, following 2002’s “Live On Ice!”, and 2003’s “Takes Manhattan” and “Comes Home (to see your Mom)” performances.

Last Call Cleveland is a locally produced late night comedy show that strays from the typical format by becoming a parody of the genre itself. The show features skits, original songs, interviews (some real, some mock), and showcases popular regional bands. The show is currently being shopped in a similar form to Cleveland major network affiliates and a related announcement is expected shortly with channel 43.

It has been a whirlwind few years for the grass roots comedy troop from Kent State University. The show can already be seen on broadcast television throughout northeast Ohio, as well as on Adelphia Cable, Cox Cable, and Time Warner Cable over Portage, Summit, and Cuyahoga counties. Last Call also garnered the coveted cover of Scene Magazine, and has been featured in Cleveland Magazine and The Cleveland Plain Dealer, which is no small feat for a show that graduated from college and moved to Cleveland in October 2001. Last Call’s cast is Chad Zumock, Keith Carr, Jef Etters, Aaron McBride, and Mike Polk (from Channel 43’s “The Block”).

Tickets for the show ($10) can be purchased at the Second City Cleveland box office (2037 East 14th Street), the Kent bar Glory Days (132 South Water Street, Kent, 330.677.0700), DuBois Bookstore (332 S. Lincoln St., Kent, 330.673.4730), and The Rock Bottom Brewery (2000 Sycamore St., Cleveland, 216.623.1555).
