Come see The Cleveland Writers' Theatre inaugural 
production, "Optimus Prime for President" at The 
Second City theater on Sunday August 24 at 8:00.

"Optimus Prime for President" is written by Margi 
Herwald and directed by Derek Koger.  After a 
baseball game at Jacobs Field, six friends get 
together and talk about the important things in life: 
cartoons, baseball and relationships. But when one of 
them is faced with a major crisis, will her friends 
be there in her time of need?  It is a look at love, 
friendship and pop culture in today's age. 

"Optimus Prime for President" features Leilani 
Barrett, Liz DuChez*, Marlene Kelly, Jay Kim*, Andy 
Tarr and Matt Zitelli. 

The Cleveland Writer's Theatre is a newly-formed 
company committed to developing the work of local 
playwrights and bringing them to area theater 
professionals and the general public. Each 
performance is feedback driven, helping the writer to 
develop the play further.
