In DOBAMA THEATRE’s Warren Smith Gallery
One Big, Happy Family
artwork by Mimi Van Swall
September 5-28

Mimi Van Swall, a graduate of Montclair State University in New Jersey, will
be Dobama Theatre’s featured gallery artist for September. She will be the
perfect complement to Dobama Theatre’s production of Kimberly Akimbo, which
is set in New Jersey. She employs a variety of materials in her artwork.
“I have added new mediums to my artistic expression: metal works, larger
than life human gestures in copper tubing and paperboard and ripped handmade
paper,” Van Swall says. This is her first solo exhibition.

The Warren Smith Gallery is open before and after performances of Kimberly
Akimbo and by appointment. There will be an Artist Reception for Van Swall
Sunday, September 7th, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
