HUDSON, OHIO – The Hudson Players will soon be holding auditions for their
Second Annual Community Talent Show at 7 pm, September 2 and 3, at Barlow
Community Center.  The Community Center is off Oviatt Street, across from
the Hudson Fire Department.

Keeping true to the vaudevillian aesthetic, any type of talent that can be
showcased on stage is welcome.  From magic to comedy to juggling – all
talents are encouraged.  Acts should be fewer than five minutes in length.

Performances will be September 19 and 20 at 8 pm at the Barlow Community
Center.  Tickets may be reserved via phone by calling (330) 655-8522 or at
the Learned Owl Bookstore on Main Street.  The Hudson Players are expecting
a large crowd this year.  They urge everyone to reserve their tickets as
soon as possible to ensure a seat.

“This production offers everyone in – and around – Hudson to show their
hidden talents." says Brian Diehl, Hudson Players board member.  "If you
have an act or a band or a desire to be on stage, here's your chance to show
off what you've got.  It isn’t a contest, it’s just a chance for people to
get on stage and show what they can do.”

This year marks the Hudson Players’ 59th season, which will open with “Catch
Me if You Can,” a play that has nothing to do with the movie of the same
name (Auditions September 7 and 8 with performances November 7, 8, 14, 15,
21 and 22).  “Fiddler on the Roof” will be Hudson Players’ musical
(Auditions November 9 and 10 and performances February 13, 14, 20, 21, 27,
28, 29 and March 6, 7).  “Perfect Wedding,” a fun, farcical romp, will
complete the season (Auditions March 7 and 8 with performances April 30 and
May 1, 7, 8, 14, 15).
