The Cleveland Writer's Theatre, a newly-formed company committed to =
developing the work of local playwrights and bringing them to area =
theater professionals and the general public, announces its first =
production: a staged reading "Optimus Prime for President" by Margi =
Herwald. The Cleveland Writers' Theater would like to take this =
opportunity to invite all NEohioPAL subscribers to this free show.=20

After a baseball game at Jacobs Field, six friends get together and talk =
about the important things in life: cartoons, baseball and =
relationships. But when one of them is faced with a major crisis, will =
her friends be there in her time of need?  The show takes a look at =
love, friendship and pop culture in today's age.=20

"Optimus Prime for President" is directed by Derek Koger and features =
Leilani Barrett, Liz DuChez*, Marlene Kelly, Jay Kim*, Andy Tarr and =
Matt Zitelli.

There will be a feedback session after the show.=20

"Optimus Prime for President" will perform ONE NIGHT ONLY on SUNDAY AUG. =
24 at 8:00 pm at The Second City theater on E. 14th St.  The price of =
admission is FREE.

The Cleveland Writers' Theatre is dedicated to developing the work of =
northeast Ohio's playwrights through a series of readings and =
performances. Each show is feedback driven, helping the writer to =
