Geauga Lyric Theater Guild announces 
AUDITIONS for

DRACULA

 by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderstone from Bram Stoker's novel

Monday, Aug. 25 & Tuesday, Aug. 26
7:00PM 

at the Geauga Theater
101 Water Street
located on the square in Chardon

roles:
Jonathan Harker--20's-30's, English, passionate young man, fiance of Lucy Seward.

Dr. Seward--40's-60's, English, an alienist, runs the Sanitorium where most of the action of the play takes place, concerned father of Lucy Seward.

Abraham Van Helsing--40's-60's, Dutch, a man of resourceful action, a scientist who specializes in investigating obscure diseases.

Renfield--20's-30's, English, a repulsive and pitiful man suffering under the spell of the vampire.

Butterworth--20's-30's, Cockney, attendant at the Sanitorium.

Count Dracula--30's-50's, Transylvanian, a vampire, sophisticated in manner and dress.

Lucy Seward--20's, English, daughter of Dr. Seward, fiancee of Jonathan Harker, suffering from a strange malaise (Note that in the novel this character is named Mina).

Miss Wells--20's-30's, English, Lucy's maid, saucy and pert.

All roles are open. No appointment or prepared monologues necessary. All auditioners will be asked to read from the script.

Production dates: October 10, 11, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25.

Rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 2.
