REMINDER - Tryptophan Pictures is holding open auditions for "Stuart
Mendelsohn and the Bluffton Grove Rabbis" - an offbeat mockumentary that
follows an all-percussive rock cover band as they tour Northeast Ohio in
hopes of finding an approving audience.

Date: Friday, August 29

Time: 6 - 8 p.m.

Location: Room 116 of the Science and Technology Building at the Cuyahoga
Community College Metro Campus.

This is a non-SAG production, and the following roles are still available:

JOHN FARNSWELL - Late 20's male. Passionate and visionary front man of the
band whose temper tantrums and obsessive carrot eating get the band into
trouble.

HAROLD B. - Late 20's to early 30's male. Mysterious band member who garners
an absolute fear of interpersonal communication.

STUART MENDELSOHN - Late 20's male. Vindictive former singer/song writer of
the original Stuart Mendelsohn and the Buffton Grove Rabbis rock band.

MARJEREEN - Mid-40's female.  Frizzed out, oft-stoned Neo-Yippie

MARTHA GRUBEN-FLETCHER - Late 20's female. Head strong wife
 
RICHARD MCMASTERS - Mid-40's male. Event coordinator of a senior citizen
festival. 

MR. PAULIC - Late 30's male. Talent show coordinator.

PEG SHANKLESTENCH - Late 40's, early 50's female. Talent show MC and
politically savvy councilwoman.

ANGRY POET - Early 20's male. Young goth poet.

BUDDY - Early 30's male. Gruff, tattooed owner of a dive bar.

EXTRAS - There are numerous extra roles available for actors of all ages.
Below are some of the major ones with speaking roles that we'd also hope to
fill at these auditions:

Lethargic hotel attendent - Late teens female
Goth artists - Early 20's males or females
Tap dancers - 8 - 10 year old females
Grungy bar patrons - males and females 20-40
Several senior citizens

Please bring a photo (preferably a head shot) and a brief list of
credits with your contact information. Actors will be asked to present a two
- three minute comedic monologue and may be asked to briefly read with a
cast member. 

Actors who are cast will be compensated with a free DVD copy of the movie, a
t-shirt, a profile page on the official movie Web site and a percentage of
film festival monetary awards (if any are won).

Shooting for the movie will begin on Friday, September 19, 2003.
