THE REPERTORY PROJECT, Cleveland's professional modern dance repertory
company since 1987, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to performing high
quality, thought provoking works by contemporary choreographers from across
the nation. Cleveland Repertory Project has performed works by Martha
Graham, Ernie Horvath, Doug Varone, Mark Dendy, Gina Gibney, Liz Lerman,
Doug Elkins, José Luis Bustamante, David Dorfman, Terry Creach, and Susan
Van Pelt, among others.  The current repertory includes over two dozen
dances by almost as many artists, covering a wide range of styles and
subjects. Uniquely organized, the company functions by consensus of the
artistic staff and is supported by a group of community-based volunteers
that includes dancer representatives.  Passionate about the art form, the
company enjoys performing for audiences of all ages and means, and welcomes
dialogue with viewers concerning their impressions and reactions. The
dancers also teach in a wide array of community settings including K-12
classrooms, colleges, senior centers, nursing homes and hospitals.
