The Melody Makers are an independent Youth Vocal Performing Group with=20

WHERE:   North Canton Playhouse, Center For the Performing Arts
                           Located on the campus of Hoover High School,
                                        525 7th St., N. Canton

WHO: This performance group is for children ages 7 =E2=80=93 13 years of age
=20

Audition Requirements:
Each child must come prepared with a memorized song, no longer than 1-1/2=20
minutes in duration please.  Accompanist will be provided or you can bring y=
our=20
own, or a tape cassette player will be provided if your accompaniment is=20
recorded.  If your child plans on auditioning please notify the instructor,=20=

Description of Melody Makers:
This group brings a unique offering to the youth in our community.  The  nex=
t=20
session will be approximately 9 weeks in length, meeting twice a week on=20
Mondays and Wednesdays,  5:30 =E2=80=93 7:00, beginning September 29 and run=
ning through=20
November 26.  At the conclusion of the session, the children will have a=20
minimum of 3 performances in our local area during December.  This session w=
ill=20
specialize in Christmas music for the upcoming holiday season, showcasing th=
eir=20
vocal talents as well as musical theatre movement.

COST:  $160.00 per student / per session.=20
=20
Instructor:  Lisa Paynter has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts.  She is th=
e=20
Acting Class Coordinator for the North Canton Playhouse, a member of the=20
Board of Trustees, Artistic Board, Spotlight on Youth program, and has direc=
ted=20
and acted at the NCP for 27 years.
