the idea of moment-to-moment play is established as the basis of acting =
technique.  It is a Meisner-based, practical approach to =
strengthening listening and communication skills which will lead an =
actor to becoming comfortable with all applications of acting from stage =

playwright and retired theater faculty member at CWRU,  takes you =
through a series of specific writing exercises as a way of getting =
familiar with the elements of plays and playwriting.  The class =
will also read and discuss several modern dramas and may attend live =
performances or watch plays on video.  At the end of the course, =
each participant will have completed a well-crafted one act play or part =
of a larger work. (Playwriting II will be offered during spring =
semester.)</FONT></P>

The “final exam” and culmination of the class is a =
“Graduation Comedy Show” where you will try out your =
