On behalf of the cast and staff of the two benefit performances of FOREVER PLAID, I would like to thank the Cleveland and Akron arts communities for their generous support of our project.  The cast of the concert production included IAN ATWOOD as Frankie, COLIN COOK as Jinx, G.A. TAGGETT as Sparky, and CURTIS L. YOUNG as Smudge, with direction by CURT ARNOLD and musical direction by CHARLES EVERSOLE.

The August 18 performance at the Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood raised just over $2000 for the AIDS TaskForce of Greater Cleveland, and the sold-out August 25 performance at Weathervane Community Playhouse in Akron netted $3854 for the Community AIDS Network and Weathervane Playhouse!

Everyone involved in the project donated their time and talents and, in some cases, their equipment to help these worthy causes, including the Beck Center and Weathervane Playhouse who provided their respective theatres for the performances.

MANY thanks to everyone who attended the shows or lent their support in other ways!  In these days when arts organizations seem to be struggling to survive, it’s extremely heartening to see the northern Ohio arts community turn out in support of these agencies that are working toward such an important and crucial goal: A Cure.
