This is the last weekend to catch Workshop Players production of  John van 
Druten's Bell, Book and Candle.

Director Dave Cotton has cast an ensemble of Workshop veterans in this play, 
which was probably the inspiration for television's "Bewitched." Rachael 
Endrizzi is Gillian Holroyd, the lovely young witch who falls in love with a 
mortal, and who decides to cast a spell to gain his affections. Rachael has appeared 
in many local productions, including PICNIC at Workshop Players, where she 
played Madge, the beautiful sister.

Michael Leuszler is Shepherd Henderson, a New York publisher who falls under 
Gillian's spell. Michael has done work for Workshop on and off since 1984, and 
has played various roles at WSP, including Mortimer Brewster from ARSENIC AND 
OLD LACE, and a very intelligent monkey in  ALL IN THE TIMING. 

Aunt Queenie Holroyd, Gillian's poor eccentric aunt who is also a witch, is 
played by Jimmie Looney. Jimmie has appeared many times on the WSP stage, once, 
coincidentally as Mortimer Brewster's eccentric aunt in ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, 
and as a Jewish Mother in the classic GOD OF ISAAC. 

David Stacko should be familiar to longtime Workshop patrons, as he has 
directed and acted here for years. His last appearance on our stage was as the 
title character in LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS. Other recent appearances include 
roles in PLAZA SUITE and KINDLY KEEP IT COVERED. David plays Sidney Redlitch, a 
socially lubricated author who is researching a book on witchcraft in New York 
with the help of Gillian's brother...

Nicky Holroyd is played by Todd McGill, who made his debut at Workshop in THE 
DIARY OF ANNE FRANK.  His character here is much nicer.

Performance dates are September 26 & 27 at 8 p.m. There will also be a Sunday 
matinee on September  28 at 3:00. Tickets are $10.00 each and may be reserved 
by calling the box office at 440-988-5613. Group rates are available for 
groups of 15 or more. Season tickets are on sale now through October 7. 
Workshop Players Theatre is located at 44820 Middle Ridge Road in Amherst.
