Fall Classes For Children and Teens
At The Cleveland Play House
Begin October 4th
Eight-Week Session  Fall 2003
Saturdays from October 4  November 22
Fee: $130 per class for an eight-week session

Acting for Youth                        Ages: 8-12      Time: 9:30-11:30 AM
This class is designed for both the new and not so new acting 
student.  Combining improvisation with simple scenes and monologues, 
students work on developing and improving their acting skills.  Class work 
will encompass music and movement, diction, writing for performance, 
memorization and listening skills.

Creative Drama                          Ages: 5-7       Time: 9:30-11:30AM 
Creative Drama offers a unique opportunity to discover creative potential 
using elements of theatre, music and movement. Children will also work with 
folk tales and stories to explore self-expression, socialization and fun. 
Limited enrollment

Introduction to Performance     Ages: 8-12      Time: 11:45AM-1:45PM
This class offers our students an exploration into different aspects of 
theater.  This class includes movement, voice, diction, scene work and 
performance.  A great class for students who want to learn more about 
acting and performance.

Introduction to Acting  Teens   Ages: 13-17     Time: 9:30-11:30AM
This class is based on our adult intro class where students learn basic 
acting skills through vocal and physical training, monologue and scene 
work, imagination exercises and theatre games. This course will give you a 
fun and entertaining look behind the scenes at the world of the actor.

The Performance Workshop        Ages 13-17      Time: 11:45-1:45PM
Students who have taken classes or have previous acting experience are 
eligible to participate in these exciting workshops where the emphasis is 
on the actor and the written word.  Students will also learn about 
auditioning and the entire rehearsal process.  On the last day of class 
students will perform assorted pieces for family and friends..  Limited 
enrollment.
