[NEohioPAL]AUDITIONS: Strong Actor/Singers needed for "The Secret Garden"

Beachwood Community Theater proudly announces auditions for it's
second
show of the season, the tony-award winning musical, "The Secret
Garden."  Directed by Jill Koslen, Musical Direction by Sean Szaller.
 Based on the classic novel by Frances Hodgsen-Burnett, this is the
story of 10-yr old Mary Lennox.  After her parents and loved ones die
of
the cholera in India, Mary is sent off to live with her reclusive
hunchback uncle in Yorkshire, England.  The ghosts from Mary's past
follow her to her new home and help guide her to discover a cousin who
is hidden away from the world, and a garden which holds the power to
heal.  This is the ultimate story of love, redemption, and the power
of
the human spirit.  In addition, this show features one of the richest
scores to come out of Broadway in the past 15 years.

Beachwood Community Theater is currently seeking the following:

** Men and Women:  Ages 20 and up (in appearance) 
** One 10 year old girl; One 10 year old boy
** One mature male and female (the female does not need to sing)

Please Note:  ALL cast members must be extremely gifted singer/actors
-- this show has a very "classic" sound and requires that
singers not
sound "pop" and can sing harmony very well.

Audition Dates are as follows:

** Sunday, October 19th:  Boys and Girls from 2pm-3:30pm; Adults from
3:30pm-5pm.

Call-backs will be held Sunday, October 26th at 1pm.

Rehearsals:  Begin Sunday, November 2nd.  We will ONLY rehearse on
Sundays until after the New Year.  

Performances:  The production will open Friday, February 6th and run
the 6,7,8,13,14,15.  Performances will be Friday's at 8pm, Saturday's
at
7pm, and Sunday's at 2pm.

For the auditions please prepare 16 bars from the classic broadway
repitoire (nothing pop or from contemporary musicals).  Please come
prepared with your sheet music as there will be an accompaniest
provided.  NO acapella singing.  You will also be asked to do some
cold
readings from the script.
