The Steamship William G. Mather Museum in cooperation with Eden Valley 
Enterprises will present

"A Storm Like You've Never Seen Before!"

On Wed., Oct. 22, at 6:30.  The program is at Canal Way Center in the 
Cleveland Metroparks' Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation off East 49th in 
Cuyahoga Heights.  The program is free and open to the public.

In the Great Storm of 1913, more ships were wrecked and lives were lost then 
at any other time in Great Lakes history.  Hear riveting stories of sorrow 
and survival from Bette Lou Higgins, master storyteller and Artistic 
Director of Eden Valley Enterprises "EVE."

The MATHER Museum's "Land Lubber" series presents programs on Great Lakes 
history and culture at an “inland” location to make it easier for “Land 
Lubbers” to get onboard.

Coming up next..another FREE program onboard the MATHER, "Remembering the 
Fitz" recounting the tragic sinking of the EDMUND FITZGERALD.  Costumed 
characters compare the MATHER to the FITZ and describe what might have 
happened that fateful day, Nov. 10, 1975.  Tours are at the MATHER's East 
Ninth Street Pier mooring on Saturday, November 8, 2003 and start every half 
hour from 1-3 pm.
