            Lakewood, Ohio - The Beck Center for the Arts presents a
diverse collection of dance duets by Scott Meyers and Karina Richter and
Tom and Susana Evert on October 26th at 3:00 p.m.  Tom and Susana will
share excerpts from their award-winning work including Illusions, while
Scott and Karina present sonatas and dance theater with poetry spoken by
Dorothy Meyers.
            Meyers will perform Love, choreographed by Enrico Labayne
with music by Favre. Scott and Karina Richter will present The Middle
Way, which they have set to poetry spoken by actor Dorothy Meyers and
dedicated to the late Alan Meyers.=20
Scott Meyers performed with the Santa Fe Opera, Oberlin Dance
Collective, Peter Pucci, The San Francisco Moving Company, and Mark
Taylor among others. He has toured with Labayen's Lab Project in Germany
and with Karina Richter in Bolivia.  Karina Richter danced with the
Santa Fe Opera, Oberlin Dance Collective, Danzahoy in Venezuela, the
Harris Mandafounis Dance Company in Greece, Piramiderna in Sweden, Carte
Blanche in Oslo, and Iwanson Dance Company in Munich. In real life
Karina and Scott are married and have been dance partners
internationally, as well as Pilates teachers at Beck Center for the
Arts.=20
             Tom and Susana Evert will present excerpts from their
award-winning work Illusions as well as Petition, choreographed and
danced by Tom Evert; and Ta Da choreographed and danced by Susana
Weingarten de Evert.  Tom Evert performed internationally with the Paul
Taylor Dance Company.  He is an award winning choreographer, performer
and artistic director of the Tom and
Susana Evert Dance Theatre. He has been part of the Beck Center for the
Arts Education Outreach program in the schools for over six years.
            Susana Weingarten de Evert danced with Ballet Independiente
de Mexico. She is a choreographer, international performer and
co-artistic director with the Tom and Susana Evert Dance Theatre. She
has been teaching at Beck for over five years. =20

the Beck Center Music School in the Armory Building located on the Beck
