dance ensemble, joins forces with award-winning director Tony Sias and talen=
ted=20
local playwright Margaret Lynch to present its original holiday production f=
or=20
the entire family entitled =E2=80=9CThe Night Before Christmas (NBC).=E2=80=
=9D   With the=20
seamlessly woven assistance of Duke Ellington=E2=80=99s =E2=80=9CThe Nutcrac=
ker Suite=E2=80=9D and the=20
fantastic dancing of the professional ensemble, NBC tells the story of tells=
=20
the story of a young sister and brother (Symphony and Paris) who are in fost=
er=20
care, being cared for by Mr. Pastor and his wife, Mother Pastor. During a=20
Christmas Eve service, Symphony falls asleep and is awakened by her fairy=20
godmother (FG) who tells the girl she may have three wishes granted. Symphon=
y wishes=20
only to find her real parents so the family can all be together again for=20
Christmas. Thus begins the =E2=80=9Cfantastical=E2=80=9D journey in search o=
f the youth=E2=80=99s real=20
family.  Many exciting and unexpected revelations occur along the journey an=
d=20
unfold the true meaning of Christmas through fantastic acting, singing and o=
f=20
course dancing!

The Saturday night December 6 performance will serve as the organization=E2=
=80=99s=20
annual benefit, which helps support its education programs, scholarships and=
=20
core operations.  One of the evening's corporate sponsors is Cleveland Clini=
c=20
Health System.  The evening begins at 6:30PM with drinks and hors d=E2=80=
=99oeuvres and=20
the performance starts at 8:15PM. The attire is holiday festive.  Ticket pri=

is $50 per person.

For this production CCDT has partnered with the Adoption Network Cleveland,=20=
a=20
non-profit member organization that offers support and education for adoptee=
,=20
birthparents and adoptive parents.  On display in the lobby throughout the=20
run of the production will be the traveling exhibit =E2=80=9CAdoption, Art a=
nd Me.=E2=80=9D =20
This exhibit, which was created through a collaboration of the Adoption=20
Awareness Coalition, Adoption Network Cleveland, Cleveland Public Library, C=
uyahoga=20
County Department of Children and Family Services, and the Cuyahoga County=20
Public Library, will feature the artwork of children who are either adopted=20=
or=20
currently living in foster care waiting for permanent homes.=20
=20
"Through their art and words, these children have expressed their feelings=20
about adoption, finding a family and living in foster care, " says Betsie No=
rris=20
of Adoption Network Cleveland.  "Our hope is that those who view this exhibi=
t=20
will leave with a deeper awareness of what it means to be a child without a=20
permanent family, and what adoption can mean to such a child.  Perhaps even=20
some of our audience will be inspired to help or even adopt. "
