"ONE OF THE FRESHEST LAUGHS" AT THE WORLD PREMIERE OF
"THE DEVIANTS" 9:30P, NOVEMBER 5 AT THE OIFF

Cleveland, Ohio-The Plain Dealer says, "=85enjoy one of the
freshest laughs at the festival," at the world premiere screening
of the feature film THE DEVIANTS, 8p, Tuesday, November 5 at the 10=20
Year Anniversary OIFF at Cleveland Public Theatre, 6415 Detroit=20
Road.=20=20=20

THE DEVIANTS is an outrageous comedy about a matchmaker for people=20
with unusual dating problems. No matter how strange their behavior,=20
the matchmaker can find surprising love matches for anyone. However,=20
when the matchmaker hires a sassy protege and tries to teach her the=20
tricks of the trade, they both encounter the wildest clients he's=20
ever had to match up. Surprisingly edgy and refreshingly unique, THE=20
DEVIANTS brings a European sensibility to the American romantic=20
comedy, unafraid to explore the funny side of sex and strange side of=20
relationships. Due to language, nudity and sexual humor, the film is=20
not recommended for anyone under 17.

This hilarious film features a diverse ensemble cast of attractive=20
rising talent. Tamara Curry, who stars as matchmaker-in-training=20
Monique, was just selected by the urban magazine SMOOTH as one of the=20
top African-American actresses to watch. She most recently starred=20
with Tim Reid in the independent film FOR REAL, which just opened=20
this year's Hollywood Black Film Festival. Parry Shen, hailed at the=20
2002 Sundance Film Festival by many as the top Asian-American actor=20
of his generation for his starring role in the Paramount Classics=20
release BETTER LUCK TOMORROW, follows up that amazing performance=20
with THE DEVIANTS. Already popular with comedy fans for his hilarious=20
turn in the Sony hit THE NEW GUY, Parry Shen is definitely a star to=20
watch. Also featured is Shauna Sand, whose recent divorce from=20
Lorenzo Lamas and outrageous fashion sense have turned her into a=20
John Waters-style tabloid sensation. Other familiar faces in the cast=20
include Randy Becker (star of LOVE! VALOUR! COMPASSION!), horror=20
movie queen Tiffany Shepis (BUNDY, TROMEO & JULIET), Christopher=20
Bradley (hilarious in BILLY'S HOLLYWOOD SCREEN KISS), Angel Boris=20
(Playboy Playmate FEAR FACTOR, BEVERLY HILLS 90210) and Ana Mercedes=20
(Showtime's RUDE AWAKENINGS).
