HAMPTONS' FESTIVAL WINNER COMES STRAIGHT TO PREMIERE IN OHIO 2P,
NOVEMBER 8 AT THE OHIO INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL
A Decade Under the Influence: 10 Year Anniversary OIFF November 1-9,
2003

For Immediate Release: November 7, 2003

Cleveland, Ohio-SCREEN DOOR JESUS, the winner of the Golden Starfish
award at the 2003 Hamptons' International Film Festival this past
month, will premiere in Ohio 2p, Saturday, November 8 at the 10 Year
Anniversary OIFF at Cleveland Public Theatre, 6415 Detroit Road
(admission is $10).

SCREEN DOOR JESUS, ex-preacher Kirk Davis' directorial debut,
explores racial and religious barriers that divide families and
communities in a small town in East Texas. Everyday life takes a spin
with the appearance of the image of Christ on an elderly woman's
screen door. The film deftly weaves story lines that include a woman
who develops a life threatening fungus, a wise but irreverent
security guard who also sings in a rock`n roll band, and a banker
who misinterprets the good Samaritan parable. SCREEN DOOR JESUS is
based on short stories by Christopher Cook.
