Subject: [NEohioPAL]Next Stage Festival readings at the Cleveland Play House
Message-ID: <01C3A9DE.A4BEAFE0.sgordon at clevelandplayhouse.com>

The Next Stage Festival of New Plays is in its third of four weeks of
readings of new plays. This week, the plays are:

RESTORING THE SUN, by Joe Sutton, directed by Peter Hackett. Featuring
Bernard Canepari, Paul Floriano, Cat Maddox, Tim Jerome, Jordan Lage and
Simon Kendall. Why would two decorated men of science disregard years of
experience and suspend critical judgement to see only what they wanted to
see? Restoring the Sun is about the mystery of cold fusion and how it can
change our way of life, but it's mainly about these two men and their need
to believe. A powerful metaphor for our times and an exciting new play.
Friday, November 14 at 7:30.

THE DEW POINT, by Neena Beber, directed by William Carden. Featuring Laila
Robins, Bruce McCarty, Elizabeth Ann Townsend, Michael Countryman, and Mary
Gen Fjelstad. A new, provocative and stylish new play, The Dew Point is a
modern comedy of manners for people who've come to a crossroads in their
lives. It follows Mimi, who, by profession, preserves valuable artifacts.
She's also about to get married. Can she preserve what she's lived so far
while embarking on the next chapter of her life? Ms. Beber, a nationally
respected author of various plays, and of the recent film How to Deal,
makes her debut at the Cleveland Play House. Saturday, November 15 at 7:30.

Both plays are in the Brooks Theatre at the Cleveland Play House, and will
be followed by a talk-back regarding the play's development led by Seth
Gordon, the Cleveland Play House Director of New Play Development. The
readings are $8. For reservations and information call 216 795 7000, or
www.clevelandplayhouse.com.
