"Swingin' At The Roxie"

On Nov 21, 22 & 23, The North Canton Playhouse will
 host Swingin' At The Roxy, an original musical
 created by and starring N. Canton native and Hoover
 Graduate John Pyka. The performance is a part of the
show's "Road to Broadway" tour, a 6-month long tour
that will take the cast and crew across the US and
 culminate with a showcase performance at the
Producer's Club Theatre in New York in March 2004.

Swingin' At The Roxy is set at the infamous Club Roxy
in Chicago, and tells the story of "Big Daddy Cool"
who has returned to Chicago at the end of WWII to open
his own club. Conflict soon arises when mob-boss Tony
Greico plans to shut down the club. The show features
features hit songs like Sing, Sing, Sing, Boogie Woogie
Bugle Boy, Mack The Knife, In The Mood and many more.

Swingin' At The Roxy is a swing era musical created by
 John Pyka, who also stars as the swing hipster "Big
 Daddy Cool" Johnny Dellarocca. John is a veteran
entertainer whose credits include MTV's Spring Break,
 A&E's An Evening at the Improv, and the Broadway
Musical Closer Than Ever. Many theatergoers from the
Canton area may remember John as Norman Bulansky in
 the Player's Guild production of The Boys Next Door.

Swingin' At The Roxy will be presented November 21 & 22
at 8:00 pm and Nov. 23rd at 2:00 pm at the North Canton
Playhouse. Tickets can be reserved by calling the
