A real "Hidden Treasure", LITTLE ME is based on a popular fake biography of
the same name written by Patrick Dennis (Auntie Mame). The show follows
the fictitious life and loves of Belle Poitrine: murderess, movie star,
millionaire and monarch (with a huge rack)!

The original 1963 production, nominated for 10 Tony Awards, starred Sid
Caesar and featured an amazing score by Cy Coleman, book by Neil Simon,
co-direction and choreography by Bob Fosse (1963 Tony Winner Best
Choreography).

In 1999 Rob Marshall (movie version of CHICAGO) directed and choreographed
a revival starring Martin Short and Faith Prince. It was nominated for 4
Tony Awards with Short winning for Best Actor in a Musical.

The major gimmick in past productions has been that most of the men in
Belle's life are played by one actor: Caesar played 7, Short played 8. In
the original production there were younger and older Belles; the newer
version combined them into one (and eliminated the Patrick Dennis character
completely). Who auditions will determine which direction the Cassidy
production will take!

Because this will be a concert version of the show (think CHICAGO) there
will be a large orchestra (!!) but minimal set, minimal props, minimal
costumes, minimal choreography ----- AND MINIMAL REHEARSALS!!!

Cassidy Theatre, 6200 Pearl Road, Parma Heights ? located in the Greenbrier
Commons municipal complex.
