Cleveland Mediation Center and Near West Theatre
Dialogue Night

On Tuesday evening Dec 2, 2003, Cleveland Mediation Center (CMC) and Near West Theatre (NWT) will host a dialogue session. From 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the theatre space, St. Patrick's Club Building, 3606 Bridge Avenue, CMC will facilitate a panel and audience discussion about NWT's production of The King and I.  

In the process of putting on this famous musical, NWT became aware of many challenges of producing this piece today. NWT asked Cleveland Mediation Center to facilitate a community dialogue about the challenges the musical presents, including but not limited to its historical accuracy, depiction and politics of ethnicity, gender and social class.
