CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM TO OPEN CLEVELAND / ACTION
DECEMBER 5 AT THE LIMINIS IN TREMONT

convergence-continuum will open its fourth and final production of its 2003 season on December 5 for a three-week, limited run. As we continue to push the boundaries of the fourth wall at the up-close-and personal Liminis, convergence-continuum will present an evening of two one-act plays - Cleveland by Mac Wellman (playwright of convergence-continuum's wildly successful productions of Sincerity Forever and 7 Blowjobs earlier this year) and Action by Sam Shepard. (Shepard's name will be especially familiar to convergence-continuum patrons as the author of our popular production of The Unseen Hand).

In Cleveland, intergalactic mayhem threatens to ruin the high school prom. Will Mother ever get the sink unclogged? What is the largest moon in the solar system? And who is that guy with the clip light on a stick? Hold on to your Glide Feathers for the answer.

In Action, freshly roasted Christmas turkey inspires bald cowboys to bust up chairs. Why is being indoors so terrifying? What is in that book they're reading? And where did that fish come from?

These and other questions may or may not be answered as Artistic Director Clyde Simon directs the convergence-continuum company as they take the audience on a journey through the solar system and back, just in time to learn the proper way of cleaning a fish.

Cleveland/Action opens Friday, December 5 and runs Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through December 20 at The Liminis, 2438 Scranton Rd. in Cleveland's historic Tremont neighborhood. All performances begin at 8 pm. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $9 for students and seniors. Seating for this production is limited.
