A Sanders Family Christmas

(Sequel to Smoke on the Mountain)

Malone College Theatre Department will present A Sanders Family Christmas, 
sequel to the wildly popular Smoke on the Mountain that delighted Malone Theatre 
audiences two years ago, and featuring many returning cast members reprising their 
roles. This light-hearted musical comedy will run Wednesdays through Saturdays, 
Dec. 3, 4, and 6 and 10-13 at 8:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Hall of
Founders Hall, located on the Malone College campus at 515 25th Street
NW in Canton.  No performance is scheduled for Friday, December 5th.  A
matinee performance has been added to the play's run, Friday, December
12, 10:00 a.m.  Tickets for A Sanders Family Christmas are $8.00 for
Wednesday and Thursday performances and $10.00 for Friday and Saturday
performances.  Special matinee ticket prices are $4.00 for students and
$8.00 for adults.  Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by
credit card over the phone, or by check, cash, or charge at the box
office.  Call the College box office at 330-471-8202 for information or
to order tickets. 

Returning cast members playing the parts of the Sanders Family include
Nathan Clifton of Taichung, Taiwan as Burl, the father; Desiree Smith of
Wheeling, West Virginia as Vera, the mother; Paula Calhoun of Uniontown,
Ohio as Denise, the twin sister; Kelly Vrooman of Mansfield, Ohio as
June, the older, misfit sister; and Brent Schloneger of Canton as Cousin Eddie.   New 
to the cast this year are Adam Sabados of Conneaut, Ohio as Pastor Oglethorpe; 
Ben Capps of Stow, Ohio as Dennis the twin brother; and Marcus Barton of 
Aliquippa, Pennsylvania as Uncle Stanley. Four women sharing the cameo roles of 
disgruntled congregation members, Miss Maude and Miss Myrtle, are Rachel Yarger 
of Woodland Park, Co; Trena DiMinno of Malvern, OH; Carissa Wilcox of DuBois, 
PA; and Kristy Fullerman of Canfield, OH (also a returning cast member).  Lindsay 
Monahan is serving as director of the production while Director of Theatre Tammie 
McKenzie is on sabbatical.  The musical director is Brent Schloneger.
