CASTING CALL for SAVE THE DAY

Save the Day is an entertaining short film shooting in and around Cleveland, 
Ohio, between February 1st and 15th.

Auditions will be held at the Cleveland Play House on Friday, December 12th 
from 
4:00pm to 9:30pm and on Saturday, December 13th from 11:00am to 7:00pm.

Wednesday, December 10th from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.

Save the Day is a fantastic journey about revenge, perseverance, and faith.  
Eight years ago, Brett kidnapped his younger brother, Jeremy, to rescue him 
from 
a dangerous domestic situation after their father was killed.  For two weeks, 
Brett kept Jeremy happy on the road, making him believe they were on a super 
hero=92s adventure.  Then the police caught up with them.

Now, Jeremy finds himself in serious trouble at school.  Because Brett has 
been 
missing for eight years and his mother has taken ill, Jeremy=92s got nobody to 
turn to when he convinces himself that his vice principal, Jeff Trasper, is 
out 
to murder him.  The only solution is for Jeremy to start an elaborate 
newspaper 
hoax, designed to call Brett home, before it=92s too late.

***This audition is for the following parts:  Young Jeremy, Mandy, and Jeff 
Trasper.***

Jeremy:  High school senior.  His imagination is his best ally and worst 
enemy.  
Though he confides in his girlfriend, he=92s the only one who can see the world 
the way he does, and this vision is a curse of loneliness and a blessing to 
fuel 
his passion to make things right for his world and for his family.

Young Jeremy: Roughly 8 years old.  He=92s got a wild imagination, loves to play 
with his action figures.  He doesn=92t completely understand what=92s happening 
around him, but as long as he=92s with his hero, Brett, everything=92s okay.

Liz:  High school senior.  Jeremy=92s girlfriend, filled with spunk, wit, and an 
admiration for the spectacular.  She=92d like Jeremy to mend his family crisis 
so 
that she might escape her own.

Brett:  High school senior/26 year-old.  A super hero of mythic proportions in 
Jeremy=92s mind, a father figure in his memories, but in the present he is only 
a 
shadow of these things.  A juvenile record and rehabilitation have made Brett 
into an old man.  But there=92s a sparkle in his eyes and a hint in his voice 
that 
underneath this shell he is, in fact, all that Jeremy wants him to be.

Mandy: 40s =96 50s.  Jeremy=92s mother.  Fears she=92ll lose Jeremy just as she did 
Brett.  She=92s lost hope, but because of Jeremy regains her identity and 
happiness.  A bright person and the heart of her family.  For the last eight 
years, she=92s suffered bouts of temporary paralyses, due to post traumatic 
stress 
syndrome, caused by the tragic death of her husband.

Jeff Trasper: 40s-50s.  Vice Principal.  Though acquitted, he carries the mark 
of murderer.  Eight years ago he was involved with an accident which killed 
Jeremy=92s father.  Some suspect Trasper was out to marry Mandy, but there is no 
proof.  He wants to control his world, the students under his reign, and 
Jeremy.
