PORTHOUSE THEATRE HOLDS AUDITIONS FOR 2004 SEASON

Cuyahoga Falls, OH - Porthouse Theatre, Akron-Cleveland area=92s=20
premiere, professional summer theatre, announces auditions in Cleveland=20
and Kent for its 2004 =93Season of Celebration.=94  The season includes=20
Godspell, June 10 - 26, directed by Porthouse Theatre Artistic=20
Director, Terri Kent; A Streetcar Named Desire, July 1 =96 17, directed=20
by Warehouse Theatre Artistic Director, John Woodson, who directed last=20
season=92s The Importance of Being Earnest; and Guys & Dolls, July 22 =96=
=20
August 8, directed by Porthouse Theatre Artistic Director, Terri Kent. =20
All positions are paid and EMC points are available. =20

In Kent, auditions for all three productions will be Saturday, March=20
6th from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Main Kent State University Campus,=20
Music & Speech Center.  The Music & Speech Center is located on the=20
corner of Horning & E. Main. =20

In Cleveland, auditions for all three productions will be Sunday, March=20
7th from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Monday, March 8th from 4 p.m. to 10=20
p.m. at The Cleveland Play House.  AEA auditions are Monday, March 8th=20
from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  The Cleveland Play House is located on Euclid=20
Avenue and East 85th Street. =20

Those auditioning for Godspell and Guys & Dolls should prepare two=20
selections of 16 bars, one ballad and one up-tempo song.  Please bring=20
sheet music in the appropriate key for the accompanist provided.  Those=20
auditioning for A Streetcar Named Desire should prepare one monologue,=20
under four minutes in length.  Anyone auditioning for all three=20
productions should prepare two selections of 16 bars and one monologue=20
not to exceed four minutes combined.  Acappella singing will not be=20
permitted.

Auditions are by appointment only and can be scheduled after January=20

emadden at kent.edu.  Callbacks will be March 14 at 10 a.m. for Godspell,=20
March 14 at 6 p.m. for Guys & Dolls and March 15 at 6 p.m. for A=20
Streetcar Named Desire in the Music & Speech Center at Kent State=20
