V-E Day is the story of 79-year-old Evelyn Bergfeld, who enjoyed her
happiest years during World War II.  Following the war, she went through the
motions of marriage, motherhood, and suburban life.  On May 8th, 2003, a man
appears at her door with a box of World War II-era newsletters.  His visit
transports Evelyn – and her daughter – back to a time when everything seemed
possible.
