This winter, Tom Fulton, Executive Artistic Director for The Fairmount
Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, will hold a series of master
acting workshops focusing on the modern theatre and the techniques actors
must learn to use to act the great roles. The workshops are rooted in the
method of physical actions as it was developed by Constantin Stanislavski in
Russia and as it evolved in the United States through The Group Theatre and
The Actors Studio. The goal of the program is to provide a clearly defined
practical education to those desiring to make acting their profession or
passionate vocation. The workshops provide an approach to acting which
prepares the actor to be facile in a variety of styles and forms while
challenging him or her to work from a place of truth and physical action.
The actor learns to apply these skills in rehearsal and performance.
"Over the past 30 years, I've taught hundreds of students this approach to
acting. There is no more practical or powerful method to finding your
passion and inspiration on the stage. It is one of the most joyful and
challenging aspects of being an actor."
Tom Fulton
Workshops will be held at The Fairmount Center, 8400 Fairmount Road (at the
corner of Fairmount and Rt. 306 in Russell Township. 9 miles east of the
corner of Fairmount and Warrensville - About 15 minutes from Beachwood.) A
map to the center can be found at:
<http://www.fairmountcenter.org/map.htm>

To register for classes please call The Fairmount Center at 440-338-3171
