The Fine Arts Association is presenting the 8th annual One Act Festival and
will be showcasing ten minute plays by nationally recognized authors as well
as local playwrights. Submissions will be accepted for original ten-minute
plays. All submissions will be considered. Deadline for submissions is
February 16, 2004.

Those chosen will be fully produced as part of the Festival on May 14-29,
2004. The number of plays to be produced will depend on the blend of
published pieces and qualified submissions. Original plays accepted for the
festival will be announced by approximately March 5, 2004.

Guidelines:

1. Submissions must be original, unpublished, unproduced 10-minute plays.
Plays that have had staged readings will be accepted, plays that have
received full productions will not. Legal clearance of materials not in the
public domain is the full responsibility of the playwright.

2. No limit to number of plays submitted, but only one play per author will
be chosen.

3. Maximum Length: 10 pages.

4. Plays must be typed/word-processed, numbered, & securely bound in a
(preferably soft) cover with a cover page containing the following: Title,
your name, address, phone number and e-mail. If you would like your scripts
returned, include an S.A.S.E. with your submission. If no S.A.S.E. is
included, your script will be recycled. The timeframe for return of scripts
is at convenience the Fine Arts Association.

5. Not open to musicals.

6. Sets must be minimal. Only standard chairs and table, and minimum props
will be available for the production.

7. All play submissions will be handled with care. However, the Fine Arts
Association assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged scripts.

8. Mail 2 copies of each script to: Ann Hedger, Ten Minute Plays, Fine Arts
Association, 38660 Mentor Avenue, Willoughby, Ohio 44094.

9. Selections will be made by the Fine Arts Association Theatre Department
and inclusion in the festival is at their discretion.

10. All submitting playwrights will be contacted about the status of their
submission by approximately March 5, 2004.

11. Submissions must be received by the Fine Arts Association by the
deadline to be considered. Deadline for submissions is February 16, 2004.
