The Instructor

Rene Culler has won many awards and scholarships and has work in both
private and public collections.  She has obtained a BFA from the
Cleveland Institute of Art and a MFA from Kent State University with a
major in glass. Culler teaches locally at the Cleveland Institute of Art
and Icon Studio.  On a regular basis, you can find her teaching
nationally at Corning Glass and Urban Glass in New York City, as well as
internationally in Spain and Turkey.

The Class

This class offers students a chance to translate their drawings and
paintings into a design compatible for glass. All students will learn
how to cut and layer color compatible glass while also learning
essential techniques involved in the process including; explanations of
firing schedules, materials, and tricks with high fire enamel. Students
will turn one of their creations into a plate form, and will make at
least four projects. Students should bring drawings or Xeroxes for
interpretation. Sign up quickly since there is an eight student limit
and the registration deadline is March 31.

**Time/Day of the Class and Tuition Fee

This new and unique class will be held every Wednesday night at the Beck
Center from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. for four weeks beginning May 12.
Tuition is $160, which includes a $40 supply fee. Student limit 8.=20
