CLEVELAND PUBLIC THEATRE LAUNCHES CPT-A

CPT LAUNCH! PARTY
Wednesday, February 4, 6:30 p.m.
Upstairs Theatre

CLEVELAND, OH -Cleveland Public Theatre’s Board of Directors, Executive
Director James Levin, and Artistic Director Randy Rollison are proud to
announce a welcome addition to the family, CPT-A (CPT Associates), with an
energetic evening that will introduce patrons to this group’s mission. The
LAUNCH! is a party for arts supporters and advocates, hipsters and
rabble-rousers, visionaries and urban pioneers. Taking place Wednesday,
February 4, 2004, 6:30 p.m. in the Upstairs Theatre, LAUNCH! celebrates this
new all-volunteer group of young professionals, who are dedicated to the
arts community in Cleveland and CPT in particular.

At this free event, patrons will learn more about CPT, the current season
and volunteer opportunities, mingle with friends, network with other arts
advocates, graze hors d’oeuvres, enjoy cocktails, and be entertained with a
sneak preview from Uncle Tom’s Cabin, one of CPT’s February productions.

CPT-A is a team of engaged volunteers with diverse expertise in business,
finance, arts, marketing, public works, and nonprofits. This group is
committed to pooling their talents, time, and resources to support the
mission and work of Cleveland Public Theatre. In its first year, CPT-A is
focusing on two key areas: fundraising and audience development.

CPT is a community asset that produces and presents creative work that is
new, exploratory, and pushes the envelope. CPT’s two theatres offer
opportunities for emerging local, regional, national and international
artists to present their work. CPT also conducts arts education programs for
at-risk youth and adults in transition.

The mission of CPT is to inspire, nurture, challenge, amaze, educate, and
empower artists and audiences, in order to make the Cleveland public a more
conscious and caring community. Located at 6415 Detroit Avenue, CPT serves
as catalyst for urban development in the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood.

CPT and its artistic and education programs are funded in part by funding
from Cleveland Foundation, George Gund Foundation, Ohio Arts Council,
National Endowment for the Arts, Nord Family Foundation, John P. Murphy
Foundation, Kulas Foundation, Theatre Communications Group, Doris Duke
Charitable Foundation, Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Bruening Foundation,
