The Diary of Anne Frank
 at The Players Guild Theatre

Canton, Ohio, January 23, 2004-The Diary of Anne Frank will be on
stage at The Players Guild Theatre, February 27th - March 14th. Winner of the
Pulitzer Prize, a Tony Award, and the Critics Circle Award, The Diary of Anne
Frank has captured the hearts of audiences everywhere.
The Players Guild Theatre is privileged to have the support of the
Jewish community in our efforts to remember Anne's incredible story. The Canton
Jewish Community Federation and the Canton Jewish Community Center will
sponsor this production. "We are very happy about working with the Players Guild
Theatre to make this a wonderful event for the Canton Community," said Joyce
Ortman of the Canton Jewish Community Federation. There will be a special
performance for the Jewish Community on March 11th at 8:00 p.m.
At a time when the world seemed to be falling apart, eight brave
Jewish people took refuge in the attic of an Amsterdam office building to avoid
being captured by the Nazis. The drama in The Diary of Anne Frank depicts the
many conflicts that occur among the attic prisoners, all in various stages of
life. Through it all, Anne's youthful hope helps her retain faith in humanity
when faced with extreme hardship.
The talented cast includes Lauren Carter as Anne, Joe Martuccio,
Janet L. McGregor Jones, Angela Henderson, Ashley Belden, Seth Amerine, Don
Jones, Ashley Spencer, and Nate Addessi.
The Diary of Anne Frank, on stage at The Players Guild Theatre
February 27th - March 14th. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m.,
