H.E.L.P., (otherwise known as Happy Ending Lyric Players), is proud to announce auditions for their 28th annual production, that classic Jerry Herman musical . . . "MAME"! 

H.E.L.P. is part of the fine arts ministry of First Baptist Church of Cleveland Heights, on Fairmount Boulevard, two blocks west of Warrensville Center Rd. (you can't miss the church . . . it's HUGE!) 

Auditions will be Sunday, February 15th at 2pm, and Monday, February 16th at 7pm. 

Parking lot is behind the church, and entrances will be marked. 

Production dates are April 23, 24, 25, 28 (yes, that's a Wed. night!), 30, May 1, 2. The two Sundays are matinees. 

Needed are fun-loving people who can give this classic the energy and southern charm it deserves. Three major women's roles: Mame Dennis, lead, 40+, an avant-garde swinger/pied piper with a heart of gold and extreme stage presence, (wide vocal range, good movement/dance); Vera Charles, 40+, a dry-witted, diva lush, (alto/tenor); and Agnes Gooch, 30-ish, a comic prude who has her own coming-out party on stage, (soprano). Several choice female supporting roles available as well, all ages from @18-70, and an enthusiastic singer/dance chorus needed, emphasis on high sopranos. 

Men's roles include three special ones: Beau, Mame's southern beau, 40+, limited scenes, but essential; Younger Patrick, 10-year-old boy, a strong singer/actor; and Older Patrick, @20, but ages in the story, (tenor/baritone). A few choice male supporting roles, ages 40-70, are available, as well as an enthusiastic singer/dance chorus are needed. 

Rehearsals will be mainly Saturday late afternoons, Sunday late afternoons, Monday and Tuesday evenings.
