"SONGS OF IRELAND" on MARCH 6, 2004 at the AKRON CIVIC THEATER (matinee =
at 2pm evening performance at 8pm)
The seamless thread of America's immigrant history may explain why, =
after all these years, tales of great battles, struggles, famine, =
glories, 'fairies', leprechauns, fairy forts, ghosts, banshees told by a =
"seanachie" (or "storyteller") still enthrall, interest and sometimes =
enlighten us. This year our 'Seanachie' will lead us through Ireland's =
history with the help of bagpiper Donald B. Willis, dancers, singers, =
musicians and fellow "storytellers". Our tour is led by our "Seanachie" =
(John M. Regan). Performers include: The (AOH) Ceili Band, The OHARE =
Irish Dancers, That Irish Band, Pat Flynn, Fergie and The Bog Dogs, the =
Irish Rodeo Clowns (Meg Chamberlain, Cody Dove, Sean Lackey and Tom =
Mulloy), Callahan & O'Connor, Shaffer Brothers and World Champion Irish =
Dancer Tim Seeman. Tickets are available through TICKETMASTER. "Group =
Discounts" available by calling Tom Harvey at 330-773-2976. I have a =
