Re:  Hudson Players Auditions - Perfect Wedding

HUDSON, OHIO - On March 7 and 8, at 7:00 PM, Hudson Players will be
holding auditions for "Perfect Wedding," a farce by Robin Hawdon.  It
will run April 30, May 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15.  Auditions and performances
will be held at Hudson's Barlow Community Center, 41 S. Oviatt St.

The six-actor cast calls for male and female talent who can play roles
in their 20's or early 30's and a suitably mature actress to play the
mother/mother-in-law.  

In "Perfect Wedding," a man wakes up in a bridal suite on his wedding
day to find an attractive girl in bed with him. The problem is he can't
remember meeting her. Before he can get her out of the room, his best
man and the bride-to-be arrive to dress for the wedding.  His future
mother-in-law is not far behind.  

The production will be directed by Wayne Merholz from Solon who directed
the Hudson Players 2003 production of "Man of La Mancha."  Merholz has
directed at various theaters throughout Ohio.  
Author Robin Hawdon has had an extremely varied career.  Beyond writing
novels and appearing on British television, he starred in "When
Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" and "Zeta One." As a playwright, he has
written over a dozen plays including, "Birthday Suite" and the highly
successful, "Don't Dress for Dinner."
Tickets for "Perfect Wedding" will be $10 and will be available by
calling the Hudson Players telephone box office 330 655-8522 or by
stopping into the Learned Owl Book Shop.
