The Beck Center for the Arts presents an exhibit of "kinesiography"
entitled Vision Vortex inspired by David A. Hollis, on display now
through April 9 at the Creative Arts building on The Beck Center for the
Arts campus. =20
"Kinesiography" is the photographic study of the "energy of
consciousness;" of "all that is . . ." - Einstein's Theory of
Relativity.  This meld of photographic art and kinesiology (the science
of human energy fields), enables the digital creation of Giclee' prints
that, by themselves, become attractor fields capable of raising the
consciousness of those who view them.
            The Beck Center is proud to display Vision Vortex in its'
Creative Arts Therapies Building, which is used for music and art
therapy.  Visual forms of expression have been basic to society
throughout recorded history. It was not until the 1930's that art
therapy became a recognized profession, and not recognized for it's
contribution to healing until the 1960's and 1970's.  Art therapy is the
use of art to express feelings and thoughts.  It is a means to develop
physical, emotional and learning skills through guided therapeutic art
experiences.
            For more than 30 years David Hollis has been an award
winning photojournalist for television stations in the Cleveland market.
He began his career at WAKR (Akron) in 1972.  He moved to WKYC in
Cleveland in 1978 and then to his current position with WJW FOX 8 in
1994.  =20
            David's Vision Vortex exhibit will include "Anthropomorphia"
- dogs and cats, "Sedona Series" - Arizona vortex sites and "Geoscaptes
et al" - weather phenomena.  The Sedona prints draw from an area well
known for its amplified energies and combine unmatched geophysical
beauty with the mystery of the Vortex experience.
            The exhibit is free and open to the public Mondays -
Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. through April 9.  A portion of the
proceeds from the sale of the photos will benefit Creative Arts
Therapies at the Beck Center for the Arts.  For more information please

minutes west of downtown Cleveland at 17801 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood.
The Creative Arts building sits on Detroit Road in front of the Beck
